About
I'm Owen Nathanael, a composer, educator, and filmmaker based in Los Angeles. I'm known for blending my deep interest in technology with my artistic vision. My work is expansive, ranging from scoring award-winning films and chart-topping podcasts to contributions in musical theater, fun-to-play games, immersive books, and professional sample libraries.
My accolades include the Berklee World Tour Scholarship, the Michael Rendish Award, and the 48 Hour Film Project Best Music Award (NYC). Beyond scoring, I'm actively involved in performing and producing music for various artists and organizations. My passion for communication and the transformative power of teaching has led me to create free educational music content, including music breakdowns, score videos, and tutorials.
Although music-making is my primary focus, storytelling remains a core passion. My combined musical expertise and filmmaking skills in directing, producing, and editing allow me to create everything from music videos and marketing materials to documentaries and narrative stories. Deeply involved in humanitarian activities since my early teens, I'm focused on uplifting the voices of my community and beliefs through my work.
When I'm not making music, you might find me brewing the perfect cup of coffee or hitting the backroads for an adventure.
